Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI) has been an
active sponsor of the Bexar County Medical Society Foundation for many
years. AMI’s staff members have held multiple event chairman positions
for several years.
The radiologists of AMI, Radiology
Associates of San Antonio, P.A. (RASAPA) have provided thousands of
dollars toward the scholarship fundraisers over the years, and have
personally participated in the events.
In 2005, the opportunity arose to create
the Advanced Medical Imaging Scholarship. |

The Bexar County Medical Society
Foundation, a Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in
1995 by members of the Bexar County Medical Society and Bexar County
Medical Society Alliance.
Since the Foundation’s inception in 1994,
over $300,000 in community grants and healthcare scholarships to San
Antonio students pursuing careers in medicine and allied health.
The scholarships are possible through the golf tournament and holiday
gala held each year, and proudly supported by the medical community.
Foundation manager, Carol Linnebur and
Society Director, Steve Fitzer have done an incredible job of managing
the funds and bringing a new level of excellence to the program.
President, Dr. David Shulman and immediate past
president, Dr. Sheldon Gross are also to
be commended for their insightful leadership. |
